The Air

The air force is an important part of the military’s payroll. The air force is organized for air combat, powerful firepower, long range, and the most mobile part of the army.
Most countries have an independent air force – equivalent to the army and navy. However, this did not prevent the Army and the Navy from building their own air warfare component to support operations. For example, the US, the navy has a very powerful air force that bases mainly on aircraft carriers. The US Army also develops helicopter units for efficient transport and combat. For Canada, the air force operates all military aircraft, including those belonging to the army unit.
