The South China Morning Post reported that China had just conducted a military medical training session, operating in a simulated landing. Analysts say this is the first time that the PLA has been trained in this way.

The South China Morning Post reported that at least 300 medical personnel, from the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), participated in combat training and rescue practice at sea.

Unlike military medical and rescue operations on land, first aid and wound treatment for soldiers at sea is very difficult. Even these medics and doctors have to get used to seasickness.

The training process is quite close to reality, when the condition of natural waves is up to 2 meters high and ambulance operations must operate in a pitch-black environment.

The South China Morning Post reported that the PLA was conducting amphibious ambulance training, to simulate an attack on the island, which may happen in the near future.

Before that, the Chinese military had no experience in amphibious warfare, and several PLA amphibious landings in the past ended tragically when the entire vanguard force was surrounded and destroyed. .

In addition to conducting amphibious combat training, the PLA also developed an electronic communication device that uses artificial intelligence. The device will allow medics to decide who to treat first on the battlefield, and help soldiers find the closest military doctor to them.

According to information released by the Military Medical Journal of the Southeast Military Region of China, at the beginning of the exercise, most of the participating medics could not complete the test, they were even seasick, unable to stand.

However, all problems were solved only after 3 days, by the fourth day, the “late” time when military medics had to fight the environment – instead of saving the victim – was reduced from 1/3 to 1/10 of the full time of medical examination and first aid.

Analysts estimate that, although the Chinese army has modern equipment, large numbers and high level of expertise, in fact it is very inexperienced in combat, especially in large-scale combat and synergies.

An earlier study conducted by the PLA showed that the medics of this force were not ready to fight, they were only used to working in the dispensary, where there is full equipment and not too much psychological pressure.

In the event of a real war, regiment or divisional operating stations will easily become overwhelmed, forcing medical staff to choose who to save and who to give up. This can have a huge psychological impact, for medic soldiers with no battlefield experience.

In the near future, it is likely that China will hold large-scale long-term amphibious drills to test its combat capabilities, as well as to synergize all forces, and also an opportunity for the PLA to find out where Weakness remains in this force.
